Amplify: Sharing in the platform

Sharing conversations, templates, and AI Assistants in the Amplify platform

Amplify allows you to share conversations, prompt templates, and AI Assistants to other Carleton College Amplify users. This can be useful for group projects and other collaborations. In this section, we will review:

1. Sharing conversations
2. Sharing prompt templates and AI Assistant
3. How to access shared content

Sharing conversations

There are two ways to share a conversation:

1. To share one or more conversations from your conversation history:

   1. Click on the drop down menu located in your Conversations history on the left-side of your Amplify interface. 
   2. Click on the "Share" icon from the list. 
   3. Select the conversation(s) you wish to share with someone by clicking in the white box that appears next to each conversation (1).
   4. Click on the check mark to confirm your conversation choices (1), and a pop-up screen will appear. 
   5. Click the "+" icon to add people by Carleton email address, and write a note to describe what you are sending them.
   6. Click "Share" near the bottom-right corner
2. To share directly an entire conversation you are in:
   1. Click on the "Share" icon  found at the top of your conversation (2), and a pop up screen will appear.
   2. Click the "+" icon to add people by Carleton email address, and write a note to describe what you are sending them.
   3. Click "Share" near the bottom-right corner

Sharing prompt templates and AI Assistants

Sharing prompt templates and AI Assistants follows a similar path as conversations:

1. Click on the drop down menu  located in your prompts history on the right-side of your screen. 
2. Click on the "Share" icon  from the list. 
3. Select the prompt template(s) and/or AI Assistant(s) you wish to share with someone by clicking in the white box that appears next to each conversation
4. Click on the check mark to confirm your choices, and a pop-up screen will appear.
5. Click the "+" icon to add people by Carleton email address, and write a note to describe what you are sending them.
6. Click "Share" near the bottom-right corner

Accessing your shared content

Conversations, prompt templates, and AI Assistants are shared only within Amplify. This means it will not go to your email for notification. The Carleton email address used to share in Amplify is there to only connect to another Carleton Amplify account. To find something shared with you:

1. Click on the "Share" icon  located in the top-left of your Amplify interface located just above "+ New Chat" 
2. By default, the "Shared With You" tab is already open.
   1. Click on the Carleton username of the person who shared with you to see their conversations, prompt templates, and/or AI Assistants.
