Reporting network problems

Networking issues can be extremely difficult to diagnose. If you need to report that the WiFi or Wired network isn't connecting you to the internet...

Report a Network Services issue and let us know:

  • Which network are you trying to use? (Ethernet, Eduroam, CarletonGuests, something else?)
  • What is your physical location when the problem occurs
  • What is your device's MAC address (here's how to find that)

If you are using a computer (rather than a phone or tablet), the technician may want you to provide additional details, such as IP address and Ping and Trace information.
