Update Voicemail Greetings and Temporary Greeting - Grandstream (Physical Phone)

Overview

Update your voicemail greeting messages, name, or set temporary out-of-office voicemail greetings by following the voice prompts using the instructions below.

Instructions

If you are On-Campus:  On your physical phone, press the Message button with an envelope on it

If you are Off-Campus:  Dial your new phone number from a cell phone or home phone. When you begin to hear your voicemail message press *

  1. Enter your voicemail password
  2. Press 0 (zero) to access the voicemail settings
  3. Listen to the prompts, which will help you record a new message or delete an existing message
    1. Unavailable message - the message that plays if the phone rings and you don't answer, or if you are on another call
    2. Busy message - the message that plays when you forward calls to voicemail using Do Not Disturb (This is different from the Temporary Message which is used for vacation type absences explained in more detail in the related article on updating voicemail greetings)
    3. Your name - this plays for all who call you
    4. Temporary message - this message should only be recorded if you plan to be out of the office or on vacation. Once you record a temporary message, it will automatically be the default greeting for your voicemail. To deactivate or turn off your temporary message - follow steps 1-3 above, and follow the prompts to delete the current temporary message.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
  4. After recording a prompt press * to return to the main menu
