Eduroam for iOS: Forgetting and Troubleshooting Connection

For iPhones or iPads that are having trouble getting connected or staying connected with eduroam, here are troubleshooting steps to work through.

1) If possible, forget the eduroam network

If there is no option to forget the network, you can skip ahead to section 2, in newer updates Apple changed the way managed networks like eduroam are set up.

2) Remove the eduroam profile

  1. Tap into the Settings app
  2. Search your settings for the word Profile
  3. Tap into the settings area that houses your device profiles, usually called VPN & Device Management and usually housed within your General settings
  4. Under Configuration Profile, tap into Eduroam
  5. Tap on Remove Profile

Extra Troubleshooting Steps

Restart your device

Reinstall eduroam and re-join the network

Be sure to follow these steps exactly, including the option of turning off Private Wi-Fi Address
