Moodle: Boost Theme

Overview

Boost is a Moodle theme similar to LearnR. However, in Boost, the course image does not appear on the course main page. This article goes over how to change the Moodle theme to Boost with a sample screenshot.

Configuring Boost Theme

  1. In the course front page, select the Settings tab
  2. Scroll to and expand the Appearance section.
  3. Open the drop-down menu next to the Force Theme label, and select Boost.
  4. Click the Save and Display button at the bottom of the page.

Within each theme, an instructor can

  • Enable or disable course editing via the Edit Mode button (top right corner of your course).

  • Open or close the Course Blocks section (top-right side drawer).

  • All course index menus sit just under the main image for your course (top-left side drawer).
