Mathematica: Installation for Faculty/Staff

Stop: Directions differ depending on if you are installing Mathematica on your Carleton computer or a personal computer. Make sure you follow the appropriate instructions.

How to Install For Carleton-Owned Machines

Mathematica is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux. 

Visit this Mathematica page (link opens in new tab)

  1. Log in with your Wolfram ID.
    1. If you do not have a Wolfram ID, please create one.
    2. You will need to use your Carleton email address.
    3. Here is a link to instructions if you need assistance.
  2. Enter your contact information.
  3. Under Select the Configuration, choose Single Machine.
  4. Select the platform you wish to use and click submit.
  5. You will be provided with an Activation Key.
  6. Click the Product Summary page to download your product.
    1. You may be prompted to register your product.
    2. Fill out the form with your information and click Finish.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the page to download your product.

How to Install For Faculty and Staff Personal Machines

Mathematica is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Visit Wolfram's Home Use Page.

  1. You will need a License Number to proceed
  2. Select “A new home-use license” under “What are you requesting?”

Licenses

Anyone with a valid Carleton email address can get a Wolfram ID with that email address.
