Hardware Issue

Overview

Report an issue with a St. Olaf computer or equipment, including:

  • Laptop or desktop
  • Display or monitor
  • Power supply
  • Adapter
  • Computer labs or public machines
  • Keyboard or mouse
  • iPad
  • Scanners
  • Library Checkout Equipment
  • A/V equipment including cameras, sound system, and speakers

Common issue descriptions:

  • My monitor isn’t working or turning on
  • My laptop isn’t charging
  • My screen is cracked
  • The machine won’t turn on
  • I am having problems with a computer in the DiSCO
  • The keyboard or mouse is missing

Eligibility

Information Technology (IT) does NOT repair student, faculty, staff and emeriti personally owned computers or devices. IT is not licensed or bonded to be able to service any personally owned devices. You can stop by the IT Helpdesk during open hours and a student staff can provide a best effort attempt to help. If they cannot fix, additional repair options will be provided to you.

If your keyboard or mouse is broken, please fill out the form or stop by the IT Helpdesk in RML353. We have wired mice and keyboards available for Faculty & Staff at the IT Helpdesk.
