Email: Archiving your email using Apple Mail

Prepare to Archive

Set up Apple Mail to access your Carleton gmail account:

1. Click on the Apple menu and select System Preferences (macOS 11-12) or System Settings (macOS 13-14)
2. Open Internet Accounts
3. Select Google
4. Enter your full Carleton email address and click Next
5. Sign into your Carleton account as usual
6. Select the apps you'd like to use with your Carleton account and click Done

Archiving your Mail

1. Wait for all of your email to sync to Apple Mail after configuring it in the steps above
2. Right click on the Carleton mail box and choose the option to Export Mailbox
3. When prompted to choose a destination folder, select your preferred folder (for example Documents), and then click Choose
