Troubleshooting: OnBase Scrolling Issue

A fairly common known problem with OnBase is when viewing an image within the Unity Client Document Viewer, an image document is unable to seamlessly scroll. The scroll bar skips but the image does not appear to scroll at all. This issue occurs because of a known issue with Intel graphics cards on Windows platforms that causes rendering issues when hardware acceleration is enabled.

To resolve this issue, you will need to disable hardware acceleration by following the steps below.

Solution

  1. Click the Windows icon in the lower left corner of your screen and begin typing Regedit.
  2. Open Regedit.
  3. Navigate through the folders on the left side column to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics\ registry key.
  4. In the right pane(the main part of the window), right-click
  5. click New
  6. click DWORD (32-Bit Value), type DisableHWAcceleration
  7. press Enter
  8. Right-click your new entry
  9. click Modify
  10. set Value Data to 1 (Hexadecimal).
  11. Click OK.
  12. Close Regedit.
