Windows - Optional Updates

Windows optional updates are not required for your device to function, but are generally recommended to install. These updates can help fix common problems that have not been fixed by restarting your device. Some of the issues that optional updates may fix are driver issues which can include problems with printers, network adapters, speakers, keyboards, and more.

To install updates follow these steps:

  1. Click the start button on your taskbar then go to Settings.

  2. On the left side of your screen find and click on Windows Update.

  3. Click on Advanced options then Optional updates.

  4. Select the boxes for the available updates you want to install. Click Download and install.

A device restart may be required to finish updating your device.
