General computing labs are located in the following locations:
- Buntrock Commons Fireside Lounge
- Buntrock Commons Pause
- Center for Art and Dance (main floor foyer and upper floor foyer)
- Tweet Hall of Music (main floor foyer)
- Halvorson Music Library
- Holland Hall 201
- Old Main 2nd Floor
- Regents Hall of Natural Sciences (near the elevator on floors 2, 3, and 4)
- Rolvaag Library 115 (Den)
- Rolvaag Library 329
- Rolvaag Library 330
- Rolvaag Library 560
- Rolvaag Library stacks (various places by the shelves)
- Skoglund/Tostrud (foyer connecting the two buildings)
- Tomson Hall (1st floor atrium)
Residence Halls and Honor Houses
Every ResHall has one or more computing rooms with computers that will boot into either Windows or MacOS.
If you need a computer in your Honor House, please fill out this request. Don't worry....there is no cost; you don't need an account number!
Software Installed
All St. Olaf computers in general and residential labs have the following software:
- Mac and/or Windows
- Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Access is available on WIndows.
- Foreign language support is installed which allows for different language input and viewing within various applications
- Firefox and Chrome
- Software Hub to install St. Olaf software. Software that you can install will be listed in:
- Mac: open Self Service.
- Windows: open Software Center.
Departmental and some public labs may have more specialized software installed depending on who is the primary user-group of the lab and its proximity to a specific department. For example, Adobe Creative Suite is installed in the labs in Rolvaag Library 329 and in the DiSCO.
