Did you receive a message "Your session has expired, please refresh this page, search again or sign-in again" when trying to access an ebook in Proquest Ebook Central?
This is most likely due to Proquest Ebook Central's signing out process. After 30 minutes of inactivity on a page, they will automatically sign you out. This information will hang out in your cookies and cache if you have accessed Proquest Ebook Central for this or other ebooks, causing a bit of access trouble. Sometimes simply refreshing the page will bring it back.
If you still are running into problems, please open an incognito browser/Private window and go to the ebook link you were using. (Shortcuts for Chrome incognito windows are Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows/Linux/Chrome OS, ⌘+Shift+N on Mac) Once you have this open in a new window, click through to the Ebook Central page, as seen below. Once there, please click on the "read online" button on the left side of the page, highlighted below.

This should bring you into the ereader. If you then click on the book icon in the upper right, a new section will appear as seen below, with the option to switch to PDF in a blue button (highlighted below). This is not required, as one can also remain in the Proquest accessible reader if that is your preference.

Once you click on that, you should enter the ebook, and see a table of contents on the left where you can then click on the chapter title to go directly where you need.
