Adobe: Do I need to request a license?

Adobe products come in several flavors, some of which require a special license and many of which do not.

Adobe options at Carleton

Acrobat Reader (click to show/hide):

This is the free version of Adobe Acrobat that allows you to read PDFs but not edit them.


Acrobat (sometimes called Acrobat Pro) (click to show/hide):

This is the version of Acrobat that allows editing.

Adobe Express (click to show/hide):

This is Adobe's online-only suite of tools for image, video, and text editing as well as generative AI.

Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, Lightroom, etc (click to show/hide):

If you need any of these specialized Adobe products, you'll need access to a computer that has the full Creative Cloud suite of applications available.

The full creative cloud suite includes Acrobat, so there is no need to request that separately.
