Usually, we expect to see the same content on our laptop screen and on the projection screen. Sometimes, this mirroring does not work.
MacOS Settings for Content Mirroring or Content Extending
In MacOS, choose the Apple menu, System Settings, Displays. If you’re not connected to another display (such as a classroom projector), you only see an icon for a laptop called Built-In Display. When you are connected to another display device, you will also see an icon for this other device. (In the classroom, it might be named Crestron, for example.)
You can choose to extend your desktop or to mirror your desktop.
- Mirror: Under Use As, Main Display, select Mirror
- Extend: Under Use As, make sure your laptop is the Main Display, and arrange your screens.
