Workday for Affiliates (link opens in a new window) requires multi-factor authentication to protect your information and your student's information. You may choose between two options.
Option 1: Email Authentication
Workday will send an authentication code to your specified email address each time you log in. Enter this code into the Workday authentication screen to access Workday.
Note that Workday can take several minutes to send these emails.
If you get a message saying that you don't have an email address in Workday, this means that either you set things up originally using the Authenticator App option below, or you logged in too many times without setting up multi-factor authentication. To correct this, please open a Service Request or 507-222-5999. Our Workday account admin will need to reset your account.
Option 2: Authenticator App
- On your smartphone, install or select your favorite Authenticator App. Two common choices are Duo and Google Authenticator (search for these apps in your mobile app store).
- In the app on your phone, select the option to add a new account by QR code.
- The Workday setup screen will display a QR code. Point your phone's camera at the Workday QR code and follow any prompts your phone provides to add this account to your authenticator app.
- Enter your app's passcode into the Workday authentication screen to access Workday.
