Meeting Recordings and "Artifacts"
Google Meet may retain and share some records of your meeting and data files. Those files may also be shared and accessible by others. Here's what you need to know.
If preserved, your Recordings and Artifacts are saved in your Google Drive.
- Recordings include audio/video recording, chat thread, and transcript.
- preserved in Google Drive > Meet Recordings folder.
- Artifacts include attendance, polling responses, and questions.
- preserved in Google Drive > Meeting Reports folder.

After the meeting, links to Artifacts will appear in the Google Calendar Invite and will be available to attendees invited by Google Calendar.
The automatic sharing of Google Meet Recordings is limited to Carleton folks who were invited directly in the Google Calendar. These files will also be available to Carleton folks in their Shared with Me section of Google Drive.
Anyone without a Carleton account, or who were invited via Google Group will not have access to the notes automatically. They can click on the file in Google Calendar and request access to view them.
An email with links to artifacts will be sent to the meeting host and co-hosts.

Meeting hosts can also return to their Google Drive Meet Recordings and Meeting Records folders and delete the files or change the sharing settings for the files to limit access.
