If an item checked out to you gets lost or becomes damaged, please let us know. We will assess the item’s value and charge you a replacement fee, if necessary. The fine for damaged items will be determined by library staff up to the full replacement value of the item, depending on the damage. In some cases, we may accept an exact replacement of a lost or damaged item in lieu of a replacement fee.
Fines for damaged Interlibrary Loan items from other institutions are determined by the lending library, not the St Olaf Libraries.
