Create Course Materials Lists in Leganto

Leganto is a new tool that makes it easy for faculty to build lists of course materials and incorporate library resources into the lists in one simple-to-use interface. See the Leganto guide for more advanced instructions.

Starting in the summer of 2026 Leganto will be how faculty request materials for reserves at the library.

Publishing the List

When the list is complete, you must publish it. This will 1) make the list visible to students, and 2) notify library staff of any processing that needs to be done (e.g. moving items from the stacks to the course reserves shelf).

  1. Click the My list is ready button at the top of the tool window
Screenshot of list visibility options. An arrow is pointing to the button "My list is ready."
  2. If desired, select Also publish the list to students
  3. Click Send
Screenshot of the "Send list to the library" pop-up menu. An arrow is pointing to the button "Send."

The list has been sent to the library and, if applicable, library staff will begin processing items for reserves.
