Renew Library Equipment

All equipment reserved through WebCheckout is allowed one renewal. For laptops and iPads the renewal can be set to be the length of the semester, but for all other equipment the renewal length is a maximum of 3 days. Equipment that is over three hours overdue is not eligible for renewal. If you are having issues with submitting your renewal, or need additional renewals for school-related projects please submit a ticket

  1. Go to stolaf.webcheckout.net/sso/patron
  2. In the Current Checkouts section, select the reservation you want to renew.
  3. On the left side of the screen, select Renew (it will also specify the reservation number).

4. Ensure the new end date and time meet the renewal limit criteria and is set to a time when the equipment desk is open, then click either of the green check marks confirming the new time.

5. Click the Submit Changes button at the bottom of the page

  • If there is a Reservation has errors notification you have to fix something before submitting the reservation.
  • Select Click Here For More Info… to get information on how you can resolve any issues.
  • Once your issue is resolved, the message will say Looks Good! and the Submit Changes button will appear.

Short-term loan equipment checked out from the circulation desk (laptop chargers and portable batteries, Wacom pens, etc.) are not eligible for renewal.
