Leganto is a new tool that makes it easy for faculty to build lists of course materials and incorporate library resources into the lists in one simple-to-use interface. See the Leganto guide for more advanced instructions.
Starting in the summer of 2026 Leganto will be how faculty request materials for reserves at the library.
Once a course materials list has been created, faculty can add items to the list through Catalyst or Leganto.

- Go to wp.stolaf.edu/library/ to access Catalyst, St. Olaf's online library catalog
- Enter your search terms and find the item you'd like to add to the course materials list
Adding an Item to the Course Materials List
- Click on the item in Catalyst to view the full record
- Click the Export Options icon

- Select Leganto (Reserves)

- Select the appropriate list and section from the drop-down menu
- Click Add to Reading List

Note: If you can't find a course materials list in the drop-down menu, see the Knowledge Base article "Create Course Materials Lists in Leganto" for instructions on setting up a course materials list.
The item has been added to the list and, if applicable, library staff will begin processing it for reserves.
