  1. Locate either the handheld mic or the head-worn mic on the teaching station, and switch it on.

  1. If there is no sound, press the Mics button on the touch panel, be sure the mic you’ve selected is not red/muted, and then adjust the volume using the corresponding slider on the touch panel.

If you’re still having trouble, contact PEPS by calling x5002.

When you’re done, please press the red SHUTDOWN button.

Turning on the Projector

The room is equipped with multiple projectors.  All are engaged when a “Source” is selected from the Crestron touch panel.  Note: the AirMedia “pucks” allow for easy connection for multiple people simultaneously and are a reason many faculty and staff prefer this room.

Sources include

  • built-in Mac Computer

  • Laptop HDMI cable with adapters

  • Multiple AirMedia “pucks”

  • “AirMedia Groupwork” Feature

Decide how you wish to connect and press the appropriate touch panel button.

Connecting & Projecting from the Teaching Station using the installed MacOS Computer

  1. On the touch panel, press COMPUTER.

  2. At knee level on the front of the teaching station, press the small black button next to the “Computer On” label.

At this point, you should see the computer desktop on the monitor at the teaching station and on all of the projector screens. If you don’t see the projected image, be sure the Hide Image button on the touch panel is not blue/selected.

If you’re still having trouble, contact PEPS by calling x5002.

When you’re done, please press the red SHUTDOWN button.

Connecting & Projecting from the Teaching Station using a Laptop with HDMI or Adapter

  1. On the Crestron Touchscreen, press LAPTOP.

Find the correct connected HDMI adapter and plug it into your device.  Some laptops can use the black HDMI cable, without an adapter.  If your computer requires an adapter, make sure the black HDMI cable is plugged into the appropriate adapter.  Plug the HDMI cable or connected adapter into your laptop/device.

At this point, you should see your laptop display projected on the screen. If you don’t see the projected image, be sure the Hide Image button on the touch panel is not blue/selected.  You may also try connecting using one of the other connection options.

If you’re still having trouble, contact PEPS by calling x5002.

When you’re done, please press the red SHUTDOWN button.

Connecting & Projecting from anywhere using AirMedia Wireless Presentation

Wireless with Pucks:

  1. Select an AirMedia puck, make sure to note what letter is on the puck.

  2. On the Crestron touch panel, press the corresponding AIRMEDIA [LETTER] button.

At this point, you should see your laptop display projected on all the screens. If you don’t see the projected image, be sure the Hide Image button on the touch panel is not blue/selected.

You can also determine which screen or screens any individual puck will project to.

3. Click Custom AV Route on the top of the touch panel.

4. Under Screen A, select which “device” you would like to project to that specific screen.  Repeat for other screens using the same device, or different devices. Note that “puck letter” does not necessarily correlate to “screen letter.”  Any puck can be used to project to any screen using this feature.

If you’re still having trouble, contact PEPS by calling x5002.

When you’re done, please press the red SHUTDOWN button.

Wireless with the AirMedia “Group Work” App:

  1. On the Crestron touch panel, press the AIRMEDIA Group Work button.

  2. This presents a different AirMedia URL and a different Screen Mirroring address in the bottom URL on each projection screen.

  3. Invite users to either enter that URL in a browser address window or click Screen Mirroring.

  • When using the URL option, users will be invited to start presenting using AirMedia, or to install the Crestron AirMedia App, to initiate the presentation feature.  Follow the on screen instructions, which may include re-entering the URL and then typing in a code that appears on the projection screen.

  • When using the Screen Mirroring option, users will click the Screen Mirroring icon at the top of their Mac Device, select the screen name indicated on the projector screen, and then enter the corresponding AirPlay code.

At this point, users should see their laptop displayed on the desired projector screen. If you don’t see the projected image, be sure the Hide Image button on the touch panel is not blue/selected.  You may also try connecting using one of the other connection options.

If you’re still having trouble, contact PEPS by calling x5002.

When you’re done, please press the red SHUTDOWN button.

Using the Built-In Camera for Video Conferencing or Recording

Camera operation for videoconferencing or Panopto recording is only possible with the built-in teaching station computer, the wall-mounted video camera, and the touch panel controls. Some faculty use the camera together with Zoom to project the whiteboard writing to the screens for increased visibility.

How to operate the Cameras:

  1. Sign into your preferred video conferencing or recording software, such as Zoom or Panopto, and launch a session.

  2. Select the camera input called “EASY IP Mixer.”

  3. Select the audio input also called “EASY IP Mixer.”  Note:  for audio functionality, users must use either the handheld or headworn microphone.

  4. Adjust your camera angle and zoom by pressing the Camera icon on the touch panel and using the controls.

At this point, users should see and hear themselves through the WCC235 installed video camera and sound system.

If you’re still having trouble, contact PEPS by calling x5002.

When you’re done, please press the red SHUTDOWN button.
