Push Notification
Requires: Mobile Phone, DUO App
This option lives within the DUO app on your phone and prompts you to verify via a push notification on your phone.
How to use(click to show/hide):
Verified Push
- DUO will automatically send you a push notification as the default
- If you want to use a different authentication method select Other options
- The page you are signing into will display a short numerical code
- Enter the code into the DUO app as instructed
- If this is your own device that you trust select Yes, this is my device. DUO will remember that device for 30 days
- If it is not your own trusted device select No, other people use this device
Additional Information
Key Fob (Hardware Token)
Requires: Additional DUO key fob
This option relies on a separate, small physical device that may be requested from ITS and does not require WiFi or cellular coverage.
How to use(click to show/hide):
- If the authentication method automatically shown is not Enter your passcode, select Other options, then the appropriate method
- Press the button on the key fob to generate a 6-digit passcode
- Enter that code into the prompt

Requires: Mobile Phone
This option relies on either Backup Codes, or getting a new code every time you sign in with the new universal prompt version of DUO. Every time you get sent new codes it invalidates any previous codes you received.

How to use New Universal Prompt SMS Codes (click to show/hide):
- If the authentication method automatically shown is not SMS passcodes, select Other options , then the appropriate method
- Enter the passcode texted to your phone
- You can generate a new one if needed by selecting Send a new passcode
- Note that this will "use up" the selected passcode, and it cannot be used again
