Enabling Specialty Printing Options

To enable specialty printing options like duplex, staple, manual feed, pick a tray, stapleless/staple, etc:

  1. Go to the Apple Menu and select System Preferences (macOS 11-12) or System Settings (macOS 13-14)

  2. Select Printers & Scanners

  3. Select the Printer you want to be able to do specialty printing on

  4. Click the Options & Supplies button

  5. Click the Options tab

  6. Set the following options

    1. Paper Source Options: Cassette Feeding Unit AQ1

    2. Paper Deck Unit: Off

    3. Output Options: Inner Finisher L1

    4. Copy Tray: Off

    5. Puncher: None

    6. Paper Folding Unit: Off

    7. Uncheck the boxes next to Department ID Management, Prioritize User Authentication, and Secure Printing Function of Device

    8. Platform Version: 3.10 or later

  7. Click OK
