Moodle Theme: LearnR

Summary

LearnR is the default theme for Moodle at Carleton. This article gives a tour of the theme.

Overview

LearnR is the default Carleton theme. Like other Carleton themes, it features a left-hand navigation bar called the Course Index for accessing course content, such as specific course sections, assignments, quizzes, forums, and other resources. In addition, the Course Management panel also provides direct access to activities.

Configuring the Theme

  1. Enter the course settings menu by the selecting Settings tab on the top bar of the course page.
  2. Scroll to and expand the Appearance section.
  3. In the Force theme drop-down menu, select LearnR.
  4. Click one of the Save buttons at the bottom of the page.

About the LearnR Theme

Below is an example of the LearnR Theme. Within each theme, an instructor can

  1. The Edit Mode toggle switch.
  2. The Course Blocks section.
  3. The Course Navigation tabs.
  4. And the Course index section.
