Sangoma Phone is what is called a “softphone.” This means that it functions as a phone, but operates on your computer without a physical or “hard” handset.
New Employees
Before installing and configuring the Sangoma Phone Desktop Client submit a Telephone Service Request from our Service Catalog to enable this app:

Sangoma Phone Desktop Client Configuration
First, download the client from: Sangoma Phone Switchvox Apps

Click on the Sangoma Phone Installer for your operating system. The installer will download. Double-click on the installer in your downloads folder. In Windows, it will install and ask for the following information.
Host: vox.stolaf.edu:6443
Username: username (no @stolaf.edu)
Password: password

How to Pin to Taskbar (Windows) and Dock (Mac)
On a Windows laptop type in Sangoma Phone in the search text box and select Pin to taskbar from the options listed.
On a Mac laptop open the Sangoma Phone Desktop Client (softphone) App and drag to the left side of the line that separates recently used apps.
