Slate Advancement Volunteer Portal

The Slate Advancement Portal will be used as the tool for Carleton volunteers and staff to assign class members, update stages, track notes, and impersonate a volunteer.  

In this first exercise, we are asking for you to roam around as if you were a volunteer.  Look at the data, when impersonating different volunteer roles, for accuracy of fields that are displayed or not displayed. 

This link will open the Carleton login page, and on to Slate Advancement upon authentication (see Slate landing page below).

Where you landed in Slate

You are in the test environment (indicated by the red banner on the top).  Please be aware that the test environment data was refreshed with data from early August, 2025.  Any adds/deletes or modifications will not be reflected after that date.

Launching the Portal

To get into the Portal:

Click on the Volunteer Portal button in the middle of the screen.

Impersonating a Volunteer

At this point, you need to impersonate a volunteer to be able to enter the Volunteer Portal and start your validation process of correct data fields for the correct roles.
