Each relationship between two people (or two records within or across any dataset) is actually two relationships that can be set independently between a main record and a "linked" record (i.e. the second record in the relationship). From the perspective of a starting record, that record has a Relationship with another record, and then that other record has an Inverse Relationship back to the starting record.
- Each of these two relationships has a screen called a Relationship Record that sits between them. So when you're on the Profile > Relationships page and click on a record there, it opens this intermediate Relationship Record. From there you can click on the Lookup Record link near the top middle of the screen to get to the other person/org's primary record.
- Each end of the relationship is set independently (meaning that you can have a Guardian and a Legal Ward, or a Guardian and a Nibling), so always be careful to edit both relationships.
