- Minnesota Star Tribune St. Registration Olaf User Link
- Access to the current Star Tribune two different ways. Access requirements have changed and now can access either on campus (IP based/no login/no registration) or register with St. Olaf email address for seamless on and off campus access. Archives searchable back through 2005. Please use ProQuest Historical Newspapers for earlier content.
- You can now receive Digital Subscription access provided by St. Olaf.
- Using the registration link, a sign is required using St. Olaf email address.
- Once you have registered with your St. Olaf account, you can use it on or off-campus by signing in using the St. Olaf account you created with the registration.
- Archived Editions of the Minnesota Star Tribune
- Study the progression of events over time by browsing full-text, full-image issues of The Minneapolis Star Tribune in Archived Editions of the Minnesota Star Tribune, which offers coverage from 1867-2001 including news articles, photos, advertisements, classified ads, obituaries, cartoons, and more.

- How do I register for a NYT Academic Pass?
- Register at the following link with your @stolaf.edu email account: https://ezmyaccount.nytimes.com/group-pass
- Because this resource is restricted to St. Olaf faculty, staff, and students, you will first be directed to a St. Olaf login page. You will then be taken to the New York Times registration form where you will click on "Create Account." Faculty, staff, and student access is valid for 364 days from the date you activate it. See below for instructions on re-activating your account. If you have any problems registering, please contact NYT help at edu@nytimes.com.
- I am a returning Academic Pass user. How do I log in?
- Once you have registered your St. Olaf account, you can log in from any device.
- I registered for the Academic Pass but NYT is telling me that I don't have content access.
- Faculty and staff Academic Pass registration expires 4 years after you activate it. To re-activate it, follow these instructions:
- Go to the St. Olaf NYT page. You may be first prompted to log in with your St. Olaf ID and password. You will then be redirected to the NYT welcome page.
- On the welcome page, click on "Already have an account? Log in here"
- Log in with existing NYT username and password.
- Once completed, you will regain NYT access with your NYT login. You will not need to go through the St. Olaf NYT page again (except once every 4 years to renew).
- Can I keep my Academic Pass after graduation?
- If you are a student, your Academic Pass will expire upon graduation.
- Will my Academic Pass work on mobile?
- Yes! Your pass includes access to access to the mobile NYT app. If you run into an error where your subscription works on a desktop browser but not in the NYT app, uninstall and reinstall the app to resume access.
- WSJ St. Olaf User Link
- Academic site license to the Wall Street Journal Online. Note: You will need to set up an account on the WSJ website because an individual site account is required to finish the registration.
- How do I register with WSJ?
- Go to the WSJ registration page.
- Enter first and last name.
- Select an Account Type from the dropdown: Student, Professor, or Staff.
- Enter your St. Olaf email address and create a password. The email address and password will allow access on other devices outside of the college network.
- Click Create to complete registration and create your WSJ subscription.
- Once you have an account you can go directly to: https://www.wsj.com/.
- The first time you login, you will be asked to verify your email address. A message will be sent to your email account. Click on the link in the email to verify your email address.
- Go back to https://www.wsj.com/ and login and you are done!
Student accounts stay active until their graduation dates. Faculty and staff need to validate their memberships once a year.
- Will my registered account work on mobile?
- Yes! Your registered account includes access to the mobile WSJ app.

- The database U.S. Newsstream (linked above) provides coverage of The Wall Street Journal from 1984 - Present.
The Washington Post St. Olaf User Link
- Access to current Washington Post content going back to 2004, including access to the WaPo app. You can now receive Digital Subscription access provided by St. Olaf. Follow these steps to activate your free subscription to enjoy unlimited access to The Washington Post online and on the app:
- Visit the signup page to sign-up with your St. Olaf email address. Enter your St. Olaf email address, agree to the Terms of Service and hit Continue. Choose a password and click create an account.
- Click on Your Name in the upper right-hand corner
- Click My Post
- Once you are in My Post, click Manage Account on the right hand side.
- Make sure your email address is Verified, if not, click “Unverified” to be sent a verification email. If your email address is already verified, you will not get this prompt.
- Once verified, click over to the Subscription & Billing tab.
- Click Activate free digital access
