Overview
The Sharing Cart is a block for copying specific course items from one course to another—similar to the “Import” function in Moodle, only with fewer clicks!
ℹ️ Note: The Sharing Cart must be added to all courses you want to copy activities from or add activities to.
About the Sharing Cart
Follow the instructions in the Moodle: Blocks article to learn how to add this block to your course. To access and use the Sharing Cart, Edit mode must be turned on. Read the instructions below to learn how to copy and paste activities and resources from the Sharing Cart.
ℹ️ Note: The Sharing Cart is individualized to the user and only visible only to teachers, course creators and administrators.
Copying to the Sharing Cart
- Click on the basket icon (🧺) next to the desired resource, activity or section.
- Note: When copying a section, it will appear as a folder in the Sharing Cart.
- Once the pop-up appears, click the Copy button. That item will then appear in the Sharing Cart.
Pasting from the Sharing Cart
- Click on the copy icon () in the Sharing Cart.
- Choose the desired location for the item by selecting one of the dotted boxes in the course main page.
- Once the pop-up appears, click the Copy button.
