How to checkout Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Acrobat Pro licenses in Account Services.

This article provides steps for checking out  a temporary Adobe Creative Cloud software and Adobe Acrobat Pro software licenses in Account Services. Temporary Adobe licenses are active from the time of checkout until 3:00 AM the following day, at which point they will expire automatically.

As a courtesy to others, please return the license when you are finished. Otherwise, the license will be returned automatically overnight.

To begin, check out an Adobe license from Account Services. Once licensed, you can access your software; please note that first-time users will need to complete an initial installation.

Adobe Creative Cloud & Adobe Acrobat Pro License checkout

How to check out an Adobe license:

  1. Sign into Account Services.
  2. Select Software License Checkout under Other Services.

 

       3. Under Available Licenses select Checkout Button within either the Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Creative Cloud.

Note: Adobe Acrobat Pro is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

To return the license when finished: 

  1. Sign into Account Services
  2. Select Software License Checkout under Other Services
  3. Under Active Licenses select Return 

 

 

When you have returned the license in Account Services you will receive an email from Adobe stating that you no longer have access to the Adobe application you checked out, you will regain access the next time you check out an Adobe application.

Accessing Adobe Software

After you check out a license you will receive a Get Started with Acrobat Pro Email or get started with Creative Cloud email. you can either login to Adobe through their website or select the Get started Button from the Adobe email you receive.

Website Log in

  1. Go to Adobe.com website and click on Sign In.
  2. Click on the Continue with Google button.
  3. Select Company or School Account (this is your St. Olaf Account).

  1. Select the  blue Get started Button from the Adobe email you received.

 

        2. Select Company or School Account (this is your St. Olaf Account).

When you have returned the license in Account Services you will receive an email from Adobe stating that you no longer have access to the Adobe application you checked out, please disregard this message your access is granted the next time you check out an Adobe application.

Installing and Viewing Adobe applications

How to install Adobe for the first time:

Windows (campus computers) 

When installing Adobe software on a Windows (campus computer) you will be prompted to provide credentials with administrative permissions, use the following credentials:

Username: .\admin
Password: is your Bitlocker Password


To Install check for the Installer in Chrome (top right in the browser). Open the Adobe installer to continue.

MacOS (campus computers) 

 Select Open for installing the Adobe application.

Enter your St. Olaf account password and select OK.

Double Click the Folder to install the Adobe application.

During the Adobe application installation you may be asked a number of questions, select Skip questions.

After the Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Creative Cloud application has been installed open the Desktop application or use the web login Adobe.com.


Adobe Creative Cloud App downloads

To view all applications included in the plan select the Apps tab on your home page.

To install an Adobe application select the Download button within the application box and follow the installation instructions.
