Due to the high cost of Zoom Meeting, St. Olaf carries a small number of licenses for users who require it, with the majority of video conferencing being conducted via Google Meet's increasingly robust platform.
NOTE: St. Olaf users can continue to use the free version of Zoom (Zoom Basic) to attend meetings and host their own meetings up to 40 minutes long.
Criteria for Requiring Zoom Pro
Users need only meet one of the following criteria
- Someone else will need to be scheduling virtual meetings on your behalf (Scheduler feature in Zoom)
- The nature of your work involves interacting with non-St. Olaf constituents who require the use of Zoom
- High-quality audio is critical (such as with music lessons, performances, or music playback)
