Third Party Proxy: Multi-Factor Authentication

Workday requires multi-factor authentication to protect your information and your student's information. You may choose between two options.

Option 1: Email Authentication (recommended)

Workday will send an authentication code to your specified email address each time you log in. Enter this code into the Workday authentication screen to access Workday.

Note that Workday can take several minutes to send these emails.

Option 2: Authenticator App

  1. On your smartphone, install or select your favorite Authenticator App. Two common choices are Duo and Google Authenticator.
  2. In the app on your phone, select the option to add a new account by QR code.
  3. The Workday setup screen will display a QR code. Point your phone's camera at the Workday QR code and follow any prompts your phone provides to add this account to your authenticator app.
  4. Enter your app's passcode into the Workday authentication screen to access Workday.
